I had my 4 year checkup at the doctor in January of 2011, I was SUPER BRAVE. I had to get

2 shots in my arm, and I didn't even cry. It was like a little crab pinch, no big deal! Afterwards I got

stickers from the nurse for being a "Trooper"....whatever that is......I'd much rather be a Police Man!

Did I tell you...I went to the dentist too!

Dr. Dan is a real nice guy, I got my teeth cleaned by Mr. Tickler. No that's not a nickname for Dr. Dan!

It's a tool that dentists use in that room that looks like a BIG spaceship. It was cool, I can't wait to go back.

I went "Hot Rodding" with Daddy on his snowmobile this winter, we had a lot of snow this year.

(Mommy & Daddy disclaimer: "Hot Rodding" is actually putt-putting around at 10 - 15 mph - Good fun!)

The 1st time I went it was pretty cold, we only went around the field a couple of times.

Mommy was there and took pictures, plus she had a warm car! Then Daddy really "Hot Rodded" his

snowmobile around, there was snow flying everywhere.

Mommy and Daddy have been signing me up for "workshops" at Lowes.....the hardware store...Silly!

These are usually on "Fun days" (days that Daddy doesn't have to go to work) and I've been

improving my ONSTRUCTION skills (I'm 4...so what if I'm not pronouncing the "C") by building

cool toys from a kit. After I do a SUPERB job at my ONSTRUCTION skills.....I get a certificate

of completion and a sew-on patch that I have Mommy sew onto my Lowes apron.

It's been a LONG TIME - A big Sorry goes out to all my fans.

2010 - what can I say.....it's been a year of adventures!

April was the start of my 1st swimming lessons! I have some pretty good skills. It was 7 weeks of an

INTRO to swimming for kids my age. Daddy had to go with me, but he made it LOTS of fun. We usually

got to the pool a little early so we could play around in the shallow end, which also had an AWESOME slide!

Daddy helped me float on my back, put my face in the water, jump off the side, and of course LOTS of KICKING!

After our 30 minute lesson, we had to go into the MENS locker room and shower off and get dressed.

In May I got to go to a WATER PARK with Daddy! I invited Taylor and Mac (a couple of girls)

to come and play in the water park with me. We all had fun. Daddy and I spent the night at the hotel

that has the water park in it, our room had a special room just for me. It was my 1st BIG TEST on a

Big Boy Bed! I had my own flat screen TV and a Playstation 3, I'm too young for games, but it plays the

CARS DVD just fine! We had breakfast the next morning at Grandma and Papa's favorite place...OPH (Original Pancake House)

After breakfast we got to ride the NORTHSTAR commuter train from Anoka to Big Lake and back. I had an opportunity

to sit in the drivers seat, but I was too shy to get in there. We saw LOTS of crossings (my favorite) and heard the whistle too!

July was the BEST! Daddy finally finished by BIG BOY BED. He made it himself, just for ME! At first he assembled the

2 beds with 10 drawers for putting my TOYS in. (OK - I had to put some clothes and other stuff in there) A short

time later Daddy built the counter tops for the end cabinet and my very own DESK! The end cabinet has another 3 drawers,

and the desk isn't just a square desk, it's cool and curvy! Daddy does a pretty good job. (I helped him too!)

August was a fun time too! I went to the Minneapolis Children's Museum. They have lots of cool stuff to play

with including a REAL city bus. I got to sit in the drivers seat, honk the horn, press some buttons, and tell

people to SIT DOWN while I'm driving! I also sent an email picture to Grandma and Papa of me having fun at the museum.

The package factory was my favorite, along with the "water works" area. I also got a "break" from Mommy and Daddy....my

daycare lady took "the boys" up to her cabin for the weekend, Friday early evening to Sunday early evening. It was FUN!

We went on pontoon rides, played in the fort, in the water, and even went FISHING! Mrs. Bobbie makes everything FUN!

In September it was time for the MN STATE FAIR, Daddy took a day off of work

and we took the bus! It was a "bendy" bus, those are cool! We had my favorites....(I remembered from last year)

We had Mini Donuts, Corn dogs, and French Fries. We also bought a HUGE bucket of chocolate chip cookies. Yum!

It was too windy that day so we couldn't ride the BIG SLIDE or SPACE TOWER, they were shut down. Next year maybe.

11/12/09

October was FUN! I got to harvest in the garden with Mommy and Daddy.

This year I went "Trick or Treating" as a Fireman! Previously I was a little scared

of the whole costume thing, but Mommy and Daddy told me that when you go "Trick or Treating"

that you get CANDY! I like chocolate and candy. (And "freezy-pops" too!)

I like playing with "Daddy's trains" whenever I'm a NICE boy.

Because "Nice boys" get to play with "Daddy's trains"! (An old H.O. scale train set Daddy had.)

("Nice boys" are boys that say, "Please" and "Thank You" and "Share" and "wait my turn")

(and of course......."Yes Mommy" and "Yes Daddy")

Right now Daddy's building me a "Big Boy Bed" in the garage with all his cutting things!

They're LOUD! It's going to be a set of bunk beds with drawers underneath, drawers and shelves

on one end of the beds, a desk, and more drawers and shelves in an end cabinet for the desk!

Let me see.....1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13......13 drawers in all!  Lots of storage space for my TOYS!

Mommy and Daddy got back from trip to Colorado.........without me!

But...........

I had Grandpa and Grandma Nellen taking care of me. Holly smokes was that fun!

I guess everyone said that "I was an angel". I was just being myself!

I ate well, brushed my teeth, and went to bed without a fuss.

Grandpa put me to bed with One for the Money, Two for the show, Three to get ready and Four to GO!

That sure was fun!

We mostly hung out around the house because I wasn't feeling 100%. (I had a little cough.)

Aunt Leslie came over on Saturday afternoon so Grandpa & Grandma could go to church.

Aunt Leslie brought dinner for us too! (She's great!)

I just got back from a trip to "Florida" (Yeah, I can say that word!)

Mommy, Daddy, and I went down and had a visit with Grandpa & Grandma Nellen.

Boy was I BUSY! I got to play "catch" with Grandpa, read books with Grandma, we

went swimming in the pool, we saw the Naples pier, we went on a boat ride and saw lots

of birds and "stuff". How could I forget this one.......we even went to the Choo-choo (railroad)

museum where I got to see a HUUUUUGGGE model railroad with all kinds of buttons, and

thingy's to do. Outside the Choo-choo museum was a riding Choo-choo I got to ride on with Daddy.

TWICE!

It was SOOOOO much fun, they had tracks, and cars, and crossings, and tunnels, and whistles,

and Choo-choo guys, and lights, and did I say CHOO-CHOO'S?

That vacation stuff wears you out!

I am very charming these days. I love to flirt with ALL the ladies & little girls in stores and

restaurants. I even kissed the hand of one of our servers when she said "good-bye" to us.

Everyone looked so surprised, but I already knew it was the thing to do for a nice lady!

I pretty regularly sing and play in my crib when I'm put to bed.

There's so many interesting friends I have in my crib. Of course there's "Boo" my bestest

bud, Mom and Dad call him a Binky, but I call him "Pal", "Bud", and "Hey you"!

Sometimes when I go to bed I get to play "fort" or "Babies".

"Fort" is great, Mommy or Daddy drape one of my blankets over 1/2 of my crib.

"Babies" is when I lay on my back, and Mommy or Daddy lay a blanket over me,

and then proceed to tuck in the blanket ALL around me,

all the while they're saying "tuck, tuck, tuck". Bed time sure can be fun!

April Fools! (All this stuff is TRUE!)

It's been a while, I know. I'm doing BETTER things than typing on this compooter thingy!

I've been SUPER mobile now! I started walking around the 1st of February, and have been

getting better ever since. SUPER mobile came to me around the middle of February!

I am FAST! (at least that's what Mom and Dad say)

I got my 2nd pair of shoes about 30 days ago (yeah, I can count days already. NOT!)

I jumped up 2 shoe sizes since my 1st pair. They're another pair of Stride Rites. I like 'em!

I trashed them last weekend crawling / playing around on the deck with Mom and Dad.

(It was 66 degrees outside last Saturday, so we HAD to be outside and play!!)

I'm going to be turning 1 - 1/2 (18 months) in 4 days! I babble A LOT now!

Mom and Dad don't understand most of it, but I can get my point across! Trust me!

I'm getting A LOT better now with my sign language skills.

(Since Mom and Dad don't understand most of what I'm saying verbally)

I think I got the hang of it! Now I just need Mom and Dad to teach me more.

Happy New Year!

I took 4 more plane rides! (one there and one back, Thanksgiving and Christmas)

We went to Milwaukee to spend Thanksgiving with Grandpa and Grandma Nellen.

It sure is nice going to visit them! They always have these cool toys for me to play with.

I think I picked up a flu bug on the airplane to Milwaukee for Thanksgiving, I was pretty sick.

On one afternoon I woke up from my nap to my Daddy, and my tummy was feeling icky.

Daddy told me I "lost my lunch" all over me, him, and the bed comforter in my room.

I was scared! Really scared! Daddy helped me clean myself up with some "Bath time"!

He was laughing the whole time, I'm not sure what was funny, but I giggled too! He's funny!

It took Daddy about 45 minutes to get us BOTH cleaned up and in clean clothes.

Mommy was out shopping with Grandma, and came back to quite a mess!

Mommy made sure I was OK, and then took care of the stuff I left all over the bedroom.

Mommy and Grandma were doing laundry for a couple days I think!

My Mommy and Daddy left me!

Mom and Dad went to some place called Cancun. I'm not sure where that is but is sure

sounds like it's far, far away. Grandpa and Grandma Nellen came to take care of me while

Mom and Dad were in some dirty, crummy, little 80 acre, 5 star hotel thingy.

I had fun with Grandpa and Grandma Nellen, we went out to eat a couple of times, and

we also ran errands like I do with my Mom. Grandma sure is snuggly, and she makes

A LOT of funny faces that make me laugh A LOT! Grandpa was just yelling E=MC squared

all the time, but he did teach me about LOG. (Laws of Gravity) Aunt Leslie and Grammy Graf

helped out too, giving Grandpa and Grandma Nellen a break a few times. They sure are NICE!

My Mommy left me!

Mommy went to Arizona about 2 weeks ago to visit my Aunt Diane and Uncle Randy.

(I don't know where Arizona is, it could be just down the street for all I know!)

Me and Dad had a good time. He's pretty good at taking care of me ya know.

We went for walks most days, and even went to a lake for a walk one day.

That same day I got to go into my new favorite store!  TOYS 'R' US   Yahoo!

Mostly Me and Dad sat around and burped and tooted! Good Guy time!

I now have 4 teeth on top and just the 2 "beaver" teeth on the bottom!

Mom and Dad think I have a couple more teeth coming in on top!

My top 2 teeth have broken the surface of my gums, teething isn't bad, but I'm tough!

Mom and Dad think I have a couple more teeth coming in too!

Grandpa and Grandma Nellen came to see me last weekend.

It's always nice to have them visit me, I get LOTS of hugs and kisses!

They came to town for this Baptism get together thingy! I'm not sure what that was

all about, but some guy I just met (I forgot his name - because I'm only 9 months old) poured

some cold water over my head. I didn't like that and I let him know it!!!

Mom and Dad had a small get together afterwards with Grammy Graf, Grandpa and Grandma Nellen,

my God father Uncle Jim (Jim Graf), Aunt Liz, cousin Sydney, and my

God Mother Aunt Leslie (Leslie Stovering). One of the highlights was when my Dad was outside

engulfed in a cloud of smoke (grilling burgers), that was pretty cool!

I recently got back from my WORLD travels to Milwaukee flying above the clouds

in a BIG SHINY THING, while riding on mommy's lap.

We went to visit my grandparents. (Nellens and Benkowskis)

I think I got to meet everyone from the entire city, because Mom and Grandma Nellen

showed me off to a lot of nice people.

 I can't remember ALL of their names because I'm only 8 months old!

I also have my 2 bottom TEETH now! I wasn't much of a complainer either.

Mostly because I'm TOUGH, and of course they are pretty sharp too!

5/4/07

I've had a couple more days of daycare with Judy. She's very nice to me and the other kids.

I still attract attention everywhere my Mom takes me. I'm good looking you know!

My new favorite place to be is OUTSIDE with the wind in my face.

Those flying thingy's (birds) haven't bothered me much yet, but they sure do like to talk!

I'm chatting it up with Mom and Dad trying to get my point across,

but all I'm getting are smiles and nods from everyone.

I'm a stout little man, I'm wearing 12 month clothes already!

My Mom and Dad say I'm too big for my "infant" car seat.

So now I ride around in some new fangled type seat, that's for "little men".

It's OK, but now I have to be transferred to the stroller, because this new

seat isn't as portable as the other one. No sweat off my back!

Take me to Sears, where they have all those shiny things!

(Actually, Dad already took me there! Wow wee! Lots to see!)

I had my 1st half day at DAYCARE!

My daycare lady is very nice, she says I'm smiley! Her name is Judy.

It was Valentines Day today and the other kids

(only 3 of them but who knows, I can't count yet)

made me a valentine on my 1st day! Wow! I also got a book and a heart shaped balloon.

It's 2007, lots of stuff happening this year!

My 1st big car trip went off without any problems!

We went to visit the Nellen gang in Milwaukee on the 26th - 30th of December.

Everyone was home so I was in someone's arms almost the WHOLE TIME!

I went out in the real world again for breakfast at Bunny's!

(Mom and Dad's favorite place for Sunday breakfasts)

I pretty much hung out while Mom and Dad had a bloody Mary and breakfast.

A lot of family came out too! Of course to say "Hi" to ME!
